Beyond The Jar

Beyond the Jar: Upcycling Inspiration

The beauty of Miron glass doesn't end when the product is finished. Because these jars are crafted to last and offer unique light-filtering properties, they have found second lives in homes and art studios around the world.

How I’ve Seen Them Repurposed:

Artistic Mosaics: The deep violet hue provides a striking contrast when broken and used in glass mosaic art or mixed-media canvases.

Botanical Specimens: Because the glass protects against light, they are perfect for displaying dried flowers, seed pods, or "found" nature treasures like small sea shells.

Yard Artwork: I have seen many outdoor glass bottle “trees” and other artwork in yards and gardens, where the violet glass catches the light beautifully.

Miniature Dioramas: I’ve seen customers create tiny "world-in-a-jar" scenes or memory jars using sand and small mementos.

Atmospheric Lighting: Place a small LED tea light inside to create a moody, violet-toned glow that highlights the jar’s elegant silhouette.

Studio Organization: Their heavy-duty design makes them ideal for holding delicate art supplies like gold leaf, specialty beads, or rare pigments.

Share Your Creation

I am always inspired by the ways you give these jars a second life. If you have repurposed your Rebecca’s Essentials jar into a piece of art, I would love to see it.

(I am currently setting up a space to feature your creations—stay tuned for details on how to share your photos and be featured in my community gallery!)
